The writer of this episode, Henry Bromell, sadly passed away earlier this year. On Sunday, his great work was honored with an Emmy for his writing in the Homeland episode “Q&A.” Now this is a little awkward…. because we recorded this episode before the Emmys AND we did something we haven’t previously done much of on the Homeland Insecurity Podcast: trash the writing. Eeek! Forgive our poor timing and lack of grace here, we certainly believe “Q&A” is worthy of the accolades it is receiving, we’re just not so hot on “Broken Hearts.”

That aside…. we talk at length about Saul’s job security and Carrie’s life security. We also chuck up the deuces to dear old Walden and reflect on the use of camera phones in this longer-than-usual podcast.
